After analyzing the multiple career options that the UnADM had to offer for me, I decided to study health services management because I thought it was a good way to stay in touch with the medical career (which I had to drop out because of a lack of time and money) I reviewed the scheme of the career and fall in love with the entire program.
I see myself as a health services manager, helping to provide
a hospital with what it is necessary for the doctors and nurses to bring health
to people, I can imagine myself helping to fight back the struggle of many
hospitals that nowadays have to deal with the lack of medicines and instruments
that they need for doing their jobs, I know that a lot of these struggles have
a strong connection with bad managements of the profits of the hospital or the
community, also the corruption exist and it is another problem to fight back. I
am fully committed with the wellness of humanity and will do everything that it
takes to help keeping the sake of the people.
I believe that we all belong to a puzzle and every
piece is completely necessary for the puzzle to be solved, we need doctors, we
need nurses, and we need paramedics, but the puzzle won't be solved until we
have a manager, so even if we are not going to heal people with our own hands,
we are going to be responsible of making possible for them to get a complete,
quality and excellent health care service.
